If Gordo does ONE THING to decrease or prevent the stabbings and shootings in our towns and cities that perhaps he will have gone some small way towards earning the respect you believe he is due. At the moment he is part of the problem, not part of the solution.
But then I'm sure that you recognise that position well yourself.
The fact of the matter is something like this. He is out in Iraq making sure the oil supply is ensured, and reassuring our troops that they aren't just there to ensure the oil supply... Which they are... He has no interest (much like his predecessor) in the state of THIS country, and as a result nor does his government - They only care about what they are told to care about. If something happens to him, or a senior figure in the public eye, tragic as the event itself will be, it will focus public attention so strongly that he will either be forced to act for the benefit of this country or he will loose power in a confidence vote.
I may sometimes come across as not having considered the meanings of my words, but trust me I have. The fact is there is NO ONE in Westminster who is interested in fixing the problem - There's no profit in it! The only way any of them is going do anything is if either their position or life feels threatened without it... Sorry that it has come to this, but while we are "applauding the assassination of the PM on a chat forum" nothing is being done about the more than weekly killings on our streets... NOTHING!!! This government is failing in it's primary duty to ensure the safety of the citizens of Great Britain.
