We don't burn coal anymore, or if we do, not much of it, the retrieval of coal along with the other factors involved, would make it non viable in this country, plus I suspect we'd import it anyway. we don't get enough wind on a regular basis to power wind turbines efficiently enough to create electricity, so that puts paid to that.

Nuclear power, yes is cheap and must be surely cleaner then in past generations as they would have to fall in line with legislation regarding the environment, without power stations like at Heysham for example where would we be now?, it's not windy enough outside, sufficient for proper power generation that's for sure.

I don't mind solar power though must admit, only seen them heating water but it's not bad and shows good potential, in some places they have like huge 'fields' so to speak with solar panels in them and not bad nether, America I think there in.
