A wrongly placed "Yes dear" can result in repercussions, the real skill is convincing the lady you were agreeing to an earlier comment that you were still mulling over.
Women are known to speak much more than men, so appearing interested and retaining the kernal of the conversation for later, when questions may be asked, sometimes goes wrong.
It is very difficult for men to understand the importance of verbal communication to their women, so picking up on key words, and filing them away for later normally does the trick.
When asked just fire back single words, "Bus Stop " or " Mabel" will suffice most times when cornered.
I find it extremely difficult to have a conversation, just for the sake of it. At the moment my G/F and I live apart, we speak on the phone every night, she will tell me in minute detail what she has done from the moment she gets up till the present time. I am fine at face to face conversation, but I just can't handle it on the phone.
