What I DO object to is all these damn pinkoes saying that India and China can polute because "We did it at that stage of developmentz".

Indians cut off their hands arms and legs to improve begging prospects. It is hardly a reccomended carreer move "just because Daddy did it".

(Same goes for people that vote Labour "because Daddy did it".)

One wagon is not the problem.

It is one for paper, one for garden crap, one for green glass, one for white glass, etc.

If they just shoved it all in one, and sorted it at the tip, it would not only save on 15 different wagons trundling around, but it would also create jobs in sorting.

We have three bins. Two collections, every other week.

Green bin: Household waste - always full
Brown bin: Garden waste (includes waste food) - full only from spring to autumn
Blue bin: Packaging Paper, card, plastic bottles etc - always full

It's still two more wagons than would otherwise be needed.

Glass we have to take down ourselves. After a couple of months, there's a lot. Especially wine bottles for some reason.

And we are paying €100 per year "council tax"!! Bloody ROBBERY I call it, what with having to sort our own rubbish, Police taking a WHOLE 10 minutes to turn up, damn roads getting swept every day. How the HEL are you supossed to sleep?

Should be HALF that amount. Damn "council" wasters.

Well the thing that causes most waste by far, is packaging. We don't ask for that, but they are threatening to charge us for what we don't create.

I have a rather comical thing to comment on here. My G/F son and his partner, who incidentally, is still living with his mother. He is a recycling maniac, that, I don't have a problem with by the way. Two years ago, he bought a compost container, there bye putting all food waste and compostable material into said bin. It took six months to fill to the brim. I tried to tell him, that he could add breakdown substances periodically. But no, he would not take any notice, saying that nature would take its course. I did not bother to tell him that nature would take a minimum of five years, I mean, he is not even an avid gardener.
So now he has to bag up all his food waste and do as the rest of us do.

Tell him to pee in it, periodically, that will add nitrates and away it will go.
