Are we allowed to discuss the Scottish countryside in this thread or is it just England?

Hey, it's Talk Britain...

Besides the Scottish and Scots are dear to me. Was with a Glaswegian for 8 years.

Heheh. That's okay then. I like Glasgow - we go up quite often for shopping or just a couple of days out with the kids.

We have a lot of the same problems as 'dahn sarf' although property prices are cheaper in some parts but wages are often much lower.

Houses are often bought as holiday or retirement homes which doesn't really help the local economy or people.

We moved from the Midlands of England and are lucky in that I work for myself and my wife teaches. Both mobile jobs in that respect.

I like Glasgow. The people are friendly and I've never felt threatened when walking about, which is more than I can say for my old home town in England.
