For THAT comment you should crash and burn.....and take a cooling trip.

But that is just my opinion....

Care to explain further?

And, I would advise you to tread VERY carefully.

They have the most efficient cars, they burn petrol and diesel. How many examples do you want and how far back in time do you want me to go?

That was carefull enough.

Thank you.

I will add myself, that at one point, which 99% of us are disgusted about, we were rather good at burning books. I will agree.

As today is the "Befreiungstag", I.e the day the nazis were FINALLY defeated, it seems like a good point to say, we hope, 99% of the rest of Germans as well, that it never happens again.

Constant vigillance of the wierdo's is what is important, as my boss says again, and again, and...a.g...ain... ,and ...

Na sorry. A touch off topic.

I can see where you thought I might be going with that, bad phrasology on my part perhaps, but I was trying to keep it in context of Eco-stuff. Interestingly, as I understand it, Hitler passed the first eco-laws in Europe protecting hedgerows in the countryside.

Yes. Strange kettle of fish that fella.

He also put a LOT of money into encouraging vegetarianism.

That I didn't know, he did have rather strange views about people vs the animal kingdom. He even branded Germans (not just the Jewish ones) as less than animals when it looked like he was finally defeated. (According to accounts taken by Hugh Trevor-Roper from Hitlers personal staff). Bizzarre.

I don't agree that most Germans were pro Hitler, many were, but after all, nobody was given much choice after 1933, and they are the only nation I am aware of that has expressed complete remorse over it's recent History. I am still stunned by the number of young Germans who have a guilt complex (not as to diminish what took place, I assure you!) .
