Why not? Before the war, well from 1933 to 1938, he had done nothing wrong. And, in fact would have been MOST unusual if he had NOT spouted off about Jews among the politicians of Europe of the day.

Other than that he did EXACTLY what many of you hear are calling for, If you refuse to work, you go to a work camp, if you are a criminal you go to a camp that REALLY teaches you a lesson, etc. If you happen to die in the meantime, Well HAY, They should have found a job/not been a criminal earlier.

In Fact, take the Jews out of the equation, and find ANYTHING that Hitler did pre 1938, that Britain could not do with NOW.
