Precautionary buying of fuel began today as a refinery strike looked set to force the closure of Britain's biggest oil pipeline and led to warnings of pump prices of £1.50 a litre. The development came as a Government minister said he could not guarantee that motorists would be able to fill up at garages during the two-day strike. Up to 1,200 workers at the Grangemouth refinery in Scotland will walk out on Sunday for two days in a row over pensions, forcing its closure. The 700,000-barrel-a-day Forties pipeline delivers one third of the UK's daily oil output and cannot function properly without power and steam from Grangemouth. Hope it doesn't last too long or I we could be in trouble with deliveries. I dont buy petrol so t is just the knock on effect, like not getting deliveries of fur etc;
