The books have been a sort of summer tradition in our family since we read the first one on a summer camping holiday. Last summer was really odd without one to read. My late husband used to love them too and we had a family book reading aloud session every evening when on camping holiday in the summer. My 2nd husband just isn't interested but the girls and I have still carried on the tradition and we've enjoyed all the films too. I'm not surprised that the last book is to be split into 2 films because you just couldn't do it in one.
