Lest we forget... In the late 1920's and more so in the early to mid 1930's Germany was in a significant economic downturn. They had historically been very generous about who was given leave to remain, and even German citizenship, but when the economy took that final nosedive the camps opened... We are on the brink of what may be a similar economic event in Britain, made worse by the fact that our Gold reserves were sold off to hide the fact that Gordon Brown couldn't organise a paper round let alone a major national economy... Nett result - The outlook doesn't look too rosey for the British economy, and I wonder if the British population realise how close we are to having a similar set of circumstances to what raised Hilter to power? Just a thought... H.

this says it all The Beginnings. It was not part of their blood, It came to them very late, With long arrears to make good, When the English began to hate They were not easily moved, They were icy willing to wait Till every count should be proved, Ere the English began to hate. Their voices were even and low, Their eyes were level and straight. There was neither sign nor show, When the English began to hate. It was not preached to the crowd, It was not taught by the State. No man spoke it aloud, When the English began to hate. It was not suddenly bred, It will not swiftly abate, Through the chill years ahead, When shall count from the date That the English began to hate. Kippling |

The story that caused this to be written is very moving I cant remember what it was called, I think it may have been about Kipling's sister. The Hate is against the Germans, in the first world war. But is very true, very English
