| 'The white working class feels alienated, threatened and voiceless,' says BBC boss The white working classes feel "politically alienated" and frightened to speak out, a senior BBC executive has claimed. Richard Klein said poorer whites believe they are "threatened economically and stifled socially" and that they no longer have a voice. Mr Klein, the corporation's commissioning editor for documentaries, has courted controversy before. He previously admitted that the political correctness the BBC is frequently accused of is at odds with many of its viewers. His latest comments come ahead of a season of BBC2 programmes under the banner White, which he is overseeing and which he believes can play a part in easing the anxieties of that section of the community. He said: "You don't hear white, working-class opinions often enough on TV. "There's a large group of people who feel politically alienated, threatened economically and stifled socially. They feel they haven't got a voice." 'The white working class feels alienated, threatened and voiceless,' says BBC boss | the Daily Mail Hooray for the BBC man. He's right, we do not have a voice.

| I was just actually thinking to myself this morning that having been born white in this day and age is such a disadvantage. There are 'groups' for all manner of ethnicities but the average, nothing special, ordinary working class white bod gets the thin end of every wedge and if they complain about it they are told they are being racist. |

well I dont know to be honest and dont know how to see it from the angle you do, but it does seem there is too much emphasis on white people being angry as being "racists" and the like, and an non-white person who is angry about issues would not like it, if they were called "Lowdown foreigner sympathizer" or something. And also, the report indicates that race relations groups are against this outcry, so makes you think, are they really for everybody being treated fairly or just for certain groups, shouldnt they be working for white people who feel victimised if they are for racial equality?

They are trying to turn us into an orwellian 1984 style society in which there are basically two classes, the proles and the party workers with the inner party workers being the rulers. The only difference being they are using tools such as multiculturalsim to break down the morale, community spirit, class unity and the general pride of the white working class. Eventualy we will just be cogs in a machine, unknowing slaves just happy that we still have the lottery and TV. Anybody that decides to leave the country will themselves or their children be facing the same problems in many or few years down the line aswell. |

| Not really, individuals, parties and groups have been predicting these troubles for years upon years. Many people including myself actively try and stop it. Its just that the British public have a very ignorant and small mindset and are to interested with the costa del sol and other meaningless, materialistic commodoties. Sometimes i think they are not worth saving!!!sk1

I couldn't care less about equality, some people are more equal than others is what I've always thought, no matter what colour, gender, faith or whatever you might be. We're pack animals essentially, and we group up with others who are like minded, otherwise we wouldn't have political parties, wars, terrorism, the law, internet groups like this and so on. If it aint broke, why try and fix it?
