Default Interesting Petition - WayOfLife

I've signed:

Petition to: make a public statement that defends the indigenous British way of life and repel any attempt by anyone at any time to remove our culture and Christian foundation to satisfy Political correctness or political expediency.

Well done Neal. Should have thought that one up myself.

Incidentally, while my husband was in Tel Aviv recently, three embassies were next to the hotel, the Turkish, Swedish and British embassies. Only the British was not flying the countries flag.

Will not sign ANYTHING that mentions "christian".

Fuck 'em.

We still want THOSE bastards to fuck off back to their piss filled desert tents, where the were spawned.

Only THEN will you get TRUE British or any other European values.

it was the words Britain's "christian foundation" Britain has only been Christian for around 2000 years, brought to Britain by foreigners and forced on the indigenous Britons, who were persecuted and killed if they did not convert to Christianity and follow the strict laws of Christianity.

Does this story ring any alarm bells any similarities to the situation today.
Change the word Christianity in this piece to he current religious 'boogie man'.

It tells the same story.

A petition to uphold Britain and Britishness without any religious connotations I would sign without reservation or hesitation.

The Christian bit did not bother me one whit, the theme of the petition did, and that is why I voted.

Only 2000 years ? A blink of an eye then ?

I am not offended by christianity at all or its use in the petition, it is only shorthand for the basic rules of life.

What did offend me was the term "Indigenous way of life"
What is that ?

Correct.

Considering Heathenism/Paganism has been here since man first looked out of a cave and saw the sun, or moon.

As an example Hinduism (A Heathen/Pagan religion), alone has been around for 3 to 4 thousand years.

The Vedic period (or Vedic Age) is the period in the history of India during which the Vedas, the oldest sacred texts of Hinduism, were being composed. Scholars place the Vedic period in the second and first millennia BCE continuing up to the 6th century BCE based on literary evidence.

And Keltik religion also for 3,200 <> thousand years

Quote:
Some scholars think that the Urnfield culture of northern Germany and the Netherlands represents an origin for the Celts as a distinct cultural branch of the Indo-European family. This culture was preeminent in central Europe during the late Bronze Age, from ca. 1200 BC until 700 BC, itself following the Unetice and Tumulus cultures.
Celts - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
And the Tumulus 3,600 years <>;

Quote:
The Tumulus culture which followed the Unetice culture and from which they descended, dominated central Europe during ca. 1600 BC to 1200 BC. As the name implies, the Tumulus culture is distinguished by the practice of burying the dead beneath burial mounds, tumuli. During this period, trade contacts with the south-east remained intact and were probably expanded. The Tumulus culture flourished without any disruption of local peoples by large-scale immigration. This was to end, however, toward the close of the 2nd millennium BC, when there is evidence of wide-spread disruption which affected the "higher civilizations" to the south-east and curbed trade.

So, aye, the christian types can shove their 15 minutes of world infamy up their collective arse.
