Default Smokers 'make their children ill'

A leading hospital says up to a third of the children it treats for certain conditions are ill because their parents smoke in front of them.

Dr Steve Ryan, Medical Director of Liverpool's Alder Hey Hospital, says bronchitis, asthma and ear infections could be cut if parents quit smoking.
He said parents often lied about whether they smoke near their children. The British Lung Foundation says 17,000 under-fives are treated every year for exposure to second-hand smoke.

I know!!

I know because I was one of them. Bronchitis 3 times a year regular as a child, and asthma now.

If they were still around, I'd sue 'em.

I can't blame my parents for my poor health, if I had smoked when I was young I wouldn't have poor health now, all my own fault me thinks, although I gave up 30 years ago

I smoke, but not in the car or indoors, or anywhere near kids. Smokers who don't do this are not doing their children any favours.
