Sorry, but being a hard-working tax-payer I'm not going to turn my nose up to a few quid back when there are so many bone-idle scumbags milking the benefits system for all it's worth.

Hey, I work, but I have to pay £98 a year, or there abouts as it goes up every year. I have to take antihistamines 23/7 and need all that goes with that, nasal sprays, inhalers etc. That saves me heaps, but is still a lot to pay and I would probably find it very hard to pay if I was not married to a good earner. Prescriptions here have now gone up to over £7 which is bloody robbery.

I agree however, that there is a whole lot of people on benefit that have no right to it.

Antihistamines 23/7 ?

Aren't they for hay fever and the like ?
Do you need them all year ?
Ever tried sticking vaseline up your hooter to protect the nasal passage ?

You seem to know lots about it, perhaps you can tell me what I suffer from periodically.
Some mornings I wake with a streaming nose and unstoppable sneezing and an itchy hooter.
One year I suffered hay fever symptoms, even taking pills, yet never before or since.
Got any ideas Nurse Sweetpea ?

Allergies can hit you any time, and leave as quickly. Seems you might be allergic to some foods though. This could be why it happens one day and not the next. Next time you wake up like that, try to remember what you ate the night before, or drank of course.

Interesting theory, I thought it might be soap or scent or bedbugs(or whatever), never considered food.
What about the single season Hay fever, now that is wierd, dont you think ?

No, again, depends what you come into contact with, even which way the wind is blowing. As you are married to an African lady I guess there might be some spices involved in the cooking. Often the culprits.

Same house, same job, same lifestyle, no changes as far as I can recall, I just keep wondering when it might return.
It was two maybe three years ago, then halfway through last summer I think to myself, "What no drippy nose?"
I found it most strange
