'In contact with' can mean what pollen blew that way one day, what tree decided to shed it's pollen. So many variables. Tree pollen is the worst by the way.

But I suffered only one summer, popped into Boots and got me Pills reluctantly, because Im so macho, then got some more when they finished because my itchy nose and eyes was still playing up.
Halfway through the following hay fever season, when getting the high pollen count announcements, no problem at all.
One of lifes mysteries.

Exactly. Could have been anything, but the key here is 'contact'. Just think how many things you touch, breath, eat in one day, or summer.

But, but only affect me for a single summer hayfever season ?
I even thought it might be hypersensitivity, if that is the term. A build up over time that peaked that year only, or physcosymatic??? in my mind ??

Is that "per iterm", or "per prescription"?

It is per item. Which is why it is a complete rip off! Thankfully I work with medics who I can get private prescriptions from to make things cheaper. I also have a fantastic chemist who will refund you the difference if it can be purchased cheaper privately.

As for the hayfever mystery Bruv - It is very variable from year to year. I never suffered until about 4-5 years ago and my symptoms are different from year to year. One year it is a runny nose and plenty of sneezing, last year it was swollen eyelids! Most attractive. A couple of years ago meteorologists were very confused by a rather large yellow cloud heading over to the UK from Germany. Turned out to be a huge pollen cloud and it caused an increase in hayfever symptoms.

Aye. I seem to remember it was the first year they had planted rape seed plants en-masse.

Brandenburg is a BASTARD for that. Hardly a field in the whole land that is not planted with the bloody stuff.
