Britain is a "Prozac Nation" facing a crisis in mental health care, Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg says.
He has warned the over-use of pills and poor mental health services were failing the public.

The party has obtained figures showing waits of more than two years for some counselling and psychotherapy services.

Mr Clegg said the Lib Dems would guarantee treatment within 13 weeks. The government guarantees hospital, but not community care, within 18 weeks.

Doctors have been warning for over 20 years that over prescribing anti-biotics will eventually cause problems. Now we have MRSA, C-Diff etc.

You may think Doctors should stop prescribing, but they are facing violence in the surgery if they don't.

The public should be educated to some degree in the way drugs work, then, maybe we would not have such a problem.

I personally take two drugs, Viagra, Prozac. If the first one don't work then I take the second one, and I don't give a S**T.

In Germany they use homeopathic remedies first, if they don't work they move on to the hard stuff. The NHS is a giant dispensary for the drug companies.

The average person knows absolutely nothing about the drugs they are addicted to anyway. The number of people who have said to me over the years "Oh, I can't drink, I'm on antibiotics" which is pure bollocks, There is only one antibiotic, a broad spectrum drug, that is rarely prescribed, and that is Flagyl, that you cannot drink alcohol with.

Don't know about prozac not working. My Doctor gave me some year back. I ended up putting my axe through every window in the hoiuse, my radio, my stereo player, and every door in the house.

Certainly did SOMETHING.
