I can't find my way round it, seems to have nothing musch to offer, and like FF is deadly boring to look at, and I can't stand that.

Just be aware that it has vulnerabilities - Well known and widely published ones, which you aren't going to get a microsoft update or firefox autoupdate to patch...

That being said, I've been using it on and off at work today and it performs very well indeed. It's compatibility with the standards as well as with the non-standards (i.e. those set by microsoft) is excellant (Much better than IE8 for instance).

When it's finished it's going to be a very good browser I think, but the same could be said of internet distorter or firefox...

It's what's in the middle of the page that's meant to be captivating, not what's around it.

Then again, what with having to make pages internet distorter compatible, it's no wonder 99.9% of web pages look a little less than undressed...

Apart from the advantages over ie in terms of vulnerabilities H do you see any advantages of using it for a novice web developer, vis a vis SEO?

Well, it's like FF, I cannot find anything.

For a start, I have NO tools button.

Customising the Links bar

Did you know that you can customise the Links bar in Internet Explorer 7? You can add, remove, or rearrange shortcuts to your Favourites and folders of Favourites. Customising the Links bar gives you one-click access to your favourite webpages.
Here's how:
To enable the Links bar
  • Click the Tools button , click Toolbars, and then click Links.
To add a shortcut to the Links bar
  1. Click the Add to Favourites button , and then click Add to Favourites.
  2. In the Add to Favourites dialog box, click the Create In dropdown list, and then select Links.
You can also drag the webpage's icon from the Address bar or drag a link from a webpage directly to the Links bar.
To remove a shortcut from the Links bar
  • Right-click the shortcut in the Links bar, and then click Delete.
To rearrange how your Favourites show on the Links bar
  • On the Links bar, drag a shortcut to a new location.
    - or -
  • In the Favourites Center, drag a shortcut t

Note: I didn't say Chrome was more secure than IE... (Though there are probably FEWER exploits for it as it has a smaller user base).

Using the Google product? No. However, I wouldn't use IE for development either.

I do all my development work with FireFox, then I confirm compatibility with IE6, IE7, Safari and sometimes Opera.

FF has many plugins specifically targetted at the developer such as FireBug (Couldn't live without it now!) and SEO-Quake which between them assist from intial development throught to SEO and verification. There are also plugins to verify page compliance etc... so on the whole I let FF do my testing, and bug identification work for me, leaving me time to write the code in the first place!

Yeah, they all support that... just IE users need it documented because Microsoft broke their own UI rules when they designed IE7!?!?!
