Six sizes smaller or eight sizes smaller would still be even, but seven would be odd, and I don't think that dresses come in odd sizes.

It's actually rather boringly simple - Neither my wife nor I like shopping for clothes so to spread the pain we go together and help each other pick out reasonable clothes.

OK OK we ALL go shopping with our spouses....but not amny of us take that much interest....well not enough to understand the sizeing of pretty frocks and girlie things.
