I just watched this and I loved it. The story of Steptoe and Son, only two more days mind.

will try to watch it to night, It fascinated me I still say, "it's like Steptoe's in here" when a place is untidy and cluttered, fewer and fewer folk know what I mean

Yes, I do. The programme is only just over an hour long. but well worth it. And of course it starts Jason Isaacs, whom I adore.

Harry H Corbett was one of the first 'men' I noticed. Fancied him rotten.

Have just watched the first half hour. Absolutely brilliant.
Will watch the last tomorrow.
Have got a friend who acquires DVD recordings. Am going to get him to copy all the Steptoe series for me. He has just done all the "Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister" DVD's for me and they are so funny. I am a big fan of early comedy programs.
I fancied myself as a comedy scriptwriter, at one point. Have got dozens of 5 minute sketches that I have written, but never bothered to send to publishers, as short sketches are not in vogue nowadays. Still do the odd one or two to amuse myself.
