Re: Facts About Leicestershire.
No offence intended, but the last time I was in Melton Mowbray I got the general impression that it was like something out of the 'Wicker Man'.

No Offense taken as I am Central Leicester (right near the City), but some of our further out Cousins like the Melton Mob, but also those from Coaville and Ashby all have their weird ways.
Sometimes I think they Ashby Lot are more Derbyshire than Leicestershire though.
Melton is anice place though, you just have to look around for a bit.

Not really, mate, hosiery's gone, boot/shoe making mainly all went abroad, same with fabrics and Printing (Which is actually my Industry), though still a Centre for it (best Print training in the UK here) is under fire, looks like thats dying out and the Print Training is going to be closed down, after me and those with me did our Apprentiships, next to nil are doing them now, add to that The Leicester Mercury and suppliment Newspapers have moved to Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire for Printing now to save money, which doesnt help and other companies going into liquidation.
Whenever a city/country talks about new Factories and "regeneration", beware, its only on the surface, there is not new factories, when ones added to one area, remember we lose it in another area. regeneration of one area is the degeneration of the other.
But Pork pies and Cheese are regionally protected under the EU, the only EU law i agree with!
Ill try to upload some general pictures of the Clock tower and the "Magazine" Armoury, also some of my personal pics of Bradgate park, just bear with us.
